In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing all HR operational processes efficiently and compliantly across our international workforce.

About the Role:

As the Director, Global People Operations, you will be a key partner in ensuring a world-class employee experience for all SmartBear Software employees. You will lead and support a diverse team of talented professionals who are geographically dispersed across our global offices. Overseeing all HR operational processes efficiently and compliantly, including:
  • Onboarding: Partnering with the Talent Acquisition and Management team to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Global Rewards Support & Administration: Overseeing employee benefits programs and compensation programs to ensure they are strong components of our total rewards package. Managing enrollment processes and communications, from open enrollment periods to life event changes.
  • Payroll Processing (International): Partnering with Finance partners in overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all international employees, adhering to local regulations and improving processes as we grow and scale
  • Leave Management: Ensuring administration of all types of leave requests (vacation, sick leave, etc.) comply with local laws and generate a positive employee experience
  • Off-boarding: Facilitating a smooth off-boarding process for departing employees including exit discussions and providing insights back to the business to continuously improve our employee experience
  • Legal & Compliance: Staying up to date on all employment laws and regulations globally and ensuring the company adheres to them inclusive of, but not limited to, obtaining required documents and signature, document retention, pay equity/transparency, EEO, employee handbook, Immigration and partnering with Facilities on Health & Safety requirements globally.
  • HR Analytics: Maintaining HR data and supporting data reporting requests and analytics to drive informed decisions and support our DEI and ESG initiatives and related compliance
  • System and Tool Management: Managing HRIS systems and other tools, ensuring they are optimized, secure, and aligned with company needs.
  • People Processes: Ensure our programmatic People Processes run smoothly such as merit increase process, promotion process, annual compliance processes, M&A, and ensuring such processes are documented in internal sites and communicated to relevant stakeholder in a timely matter.

  • Compliance & Policy Management: Ensuring adherence to all policies and regulations and maintaining up-to-date documentation and processes.

  • Effective Communication: Clear and effective communication of P&C initiatives to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding across the organization.
  • System and Tool Management: Oversight of the HRIS and other HR tools, ensuring they support business needs.
You are a great fit if you have:
  • Experience in a HR Operations role, with a proven track record of managing complex processes and ensuring compliance.
  • Experience working in a global environment and understanding the nuances of international HR practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate HR data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a geographically dispersed team.
