Growing Mid-West firm looking to add Electrical Engineer to their Iowa City office!
This position has a focus on the public and private markets.There is an opportunity to work directly with the client .
ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES :
*Design and overview of process controls, emergency power, contaminate control and structural design and design of electrical systems, controls and SCADA systems to code requirements.
*Research for commercially available equipment and specify equipment needs based on project and available technologies.
*Calculates costs and time schedules for proposed work while monitoring costs throughout all phases of the design project.
*Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, clerical and equipment suppliers.
*Recommend changes and/or improvements that result in less production costs while maintaining and organizing addendum information.
*.Determine project scope, personnel involved, coordinate and work with assigned personnel on project.
*Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
REQUIREMENTS :
*Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
5 plus years experience
P.E.
*Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings.
Skill in the use of Microsoft programs and CAD software.
