Central Kansas Cooperative in Education (CKCIE) seeks candidates for the position of Speech-Language Pathologist. The CKCIE is a special education cooperative serving 12 school distrticts based in Salina, Kansas.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications that support our cooperative mission "to provide specialized instruction to identified special education students with diverse learning needs and abilities. This is accomplished through partnership and collaboration with families and general education by providing a continuum of services in the least restrictive environment."
Job Requirements

  • Valid Kansas SLP license from Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language therapy for school-aged children.
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate well with a variety of team members
  • Effective oral and written communication skills necessary for working in an off-site setting in order to foster the development of positive working relationships with staff, students, and families
  • Knowledge of special education law
  • Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records as required by law, CKCIE policy and administrative regulations
  • Commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
  • Effective time management skills and positive work ethic for an autonomous work environment
  • Ability to work with CKCIE staff, students and families, and local agencies to improve the special education process for all students.

188 day contract (early August through late May)
Highly competitive salary includes an additional special salary provision for SLPs + excellent BC/BS health insurance + KPERS retirement + an annual district contribution into a 403(b) retirement plan in addition to salary and benefits.
Large department of SLPs for collaboration, SLP department head, and continuing education units provided.
