Job Title : Psychologist – Outpatient Mental Health

Location : Canyon Lake, Texas

Salary : $122,000 - $155,000

Overview :
We are seeking knowledgeable and dedicated  Licensed Psychologists to join our diverse outpatient mental health team in Canyon Lake, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults, including assessment, diagnosis, and therapy. The ideal candidate will be skilled in working with diverse populations across the lifespan.

Responsibilities :

  • Assessment :

    • Conduct thorough psychological assessments for individuals across a range of ages, from children to adults.
    • Administer and interpret psychological tests and other diagnostic tools.
    • Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical evaluation, client history, and assessment data.
    • Collaborate with clients, other providers, and their families to establish clear and individualized treatment goals.
  • Counseling :

    • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, play therapy, etc.).
    • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address a variety of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, and family conflicts.
    • Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as necessary to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
    • Offer crisis intervention and risk assessment when needed.
  • Collaboration :

    • Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate care.
    • Provide consultation to medical providers, schools, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Documentation :

    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
    • Ensure compliance with state regulations, professional guidelines, and confidentiality laws, including HIPAA.
  • Professional Development :

    • Stay updated on current psychological research, interventions, and best practices.
    • Attend continuing education workshops and training to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
    • Supervise and mentor interns or junior clinicians, if applicable.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure : Must hold an active and unrestricted Psychologist license in the state of Texas.
  • Experience :
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychological services, preferably in outpatient settings.
    • Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, including conducting psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
