House Supervisor - Registered Nurse

Overview Halifax Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the role of House Supervisor. Summary The House Supervisor provides administrative support to multiple clinical nursing areas, while ensuring the quality and safety of the patient care delivery. Responsible for coordinating the provision of patient care, facilitating patient flow throughout the health system, providing clinical oversight to ensure appropriate patient placement, and managing human resources to ensure safe staffing levels on all nursing units. Job Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing * Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care related field, or currently enrolled in BSN program. * Minimum of five years nursing practice. * Critical Care/Emergency Department experience preferred. * Knowledge of a broad range of hospital functions and patient care processes. Minimum of three years progressive nursing leadership (i.e. Charge Nurse) experience is required. * Cognitive and technical knowledge and the ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. * Must be flexible with work schedule.
