Reporting to the Production Supervisor, Main Shop, this role is a full-time, hourly position scheduled Monday through Friday with the availability for overtime when necessary. The Fabricator I is a strong team player with a positive attitude, is willing to take direction as well as be a self-starter and enjoys working in a creative, problem solving, and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an hourly (non-exempt) position. - Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
- Taking part in product development meetings
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications
- Ensuring that all the required parts for assembly are present
- Marking cutting lines on material
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in
- Ensuring that quality control standards are met
- Maintaining a production schedule
- Testing products for their functionality
- Troubleshooting and stress testing products to minimize problems or recalls
- Reporting and detailing product malfunctions
- Adhering to assembly safety standards
- Improving processes as needed
- Ability to be a strong team player with a positive attitude and a great work ethic
- Knowledge of fractions, decimals - both standard and metric- as well as basic geometry
- Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints
- Ability to use various measuring tools
- Knowledge of fabrication shop procedures
- 1-3 years of experience with finish carpentry, cabinet making, custom woodworking, finishing, and plastics required
- Basic electrical skills are a plus but not required
