Job Responsibilities

This Adjunct is responsible to the Division Dean for Business Technologies, TCL Hampton Campus for the delivery of in-person quality instruction and course management for Management, Business, and Marketing courses.

  1. Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the Business program area.
  2. Utilize prepared materials and assignments required for course instruction, testing, and documented student learning outcomes.
  3. Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules.
  4. Uses Blackboard learning management systems to communicate with students.
  5. Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes data.
  6. Assists the Business Program Director with timely notification of any course issues related to instruction.
  7. Conducts lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities.
  8. Provides students with the course syllabus/ addendum and correlates graded assignments with skill and course competency.
  9. Submits grades, reports, and records in a timely manner.
  10. Remains current in field.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Masters degree with 18 hours in Management Business and/or marketing.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience preferred in an online environment. Knowledge of Blackboard or Blackboard Ultra preferred. Good computer and MS office skills essential.
