About The Role
As a part of the Platform Experience Engineering team, this will provide an opportunity to setup, manage and scale the engineering and production infrastructure for the business intelligence services aimed at taking debuggability, observability, and operability to the next level, across all Zscalers products and clouds. Our mission is to build highly-available and performant distributed systems, capable of enabling quick issue identification, resolution, deflection, and prevention. Our ultimate goal is to ensure a smooth and seamless Zscaler experience for our customers. Responsibilities/What You’ll Do
Build, test and deploy complex mission-critical infrastructure services on cloud and/or on-prem. Setup fault tolerant multi-region environments for critical services. Build, automate & deploy CI/CD pipelines for apps and data projects. Work on High Impact projects that improve availability, scalability, reliability of our platforms. Automate, deploy and operate data platforms. Implement solutions to monitor all aspects of data platforms and services. Troubleshoot and address operational issues as they come up. Support and improve the build, delivery, and deployment pipeline of software developed in Java, Scala and Python. Manage and deploy distributed infrastructure/applications in OnPrem and Azure/AWS/GCP clouds. Maintain infrastructure provisioning & configuration management tools. Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in building and maintaining distributed services like microservices, Kafka, Kubernetes on cloud and/or on-prem. Experience in Infrastructure Provisioning tools like terraform and packer. Experience with git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, Argo CD. Experience in orchestration/configuration management tools like Chef/Ansible. Excellent debugging skills in a Linux environment. Experience with any telemetry system, monitoring and alert handling. Experience with monitoring applications on cloud and/or on-prem using Prometheus, Grafana or other similar tools. Experience in at least one of the cloud provider Azure/AWS/GCP. Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues. Providing guidance and building platforms across multiple zones and regions as foundation for other teams to build distributed highly-available applications. Coding experience beyond simple scripts. Ability to program with one or more high level language (Python/Java/Ruby/Go). Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
