Duties and Responsibilities:
•Maintain performance standards and pursue goals, objectives, and activities that promote the mission, vision and value statement of the College.
•Work with departments and programs to assess eLearning courses and programs and to ensure that all courses and programs move successfully through the quality assessment process.
•Promote models of curriculum and classroom organization that make effective use of eLearning; Demonstrate exemplary teaching practices to promote effective and innovative use of eLearning.
•Serve as a resource for basic and advanced course design. Support faculty development through course design training, resources, and educational technology tools training.
•Promote the integration of technology in the classroom and provide resources and training on the use of instructional technologies to enhance learning and program management.
•Coordinate training for the online tools including but not limited to workshops, tutorials, videos, 1-1 trainings, etc.
•Evaluate and coordinate the institution's software purchases and licensing as they apply to course development and delivery. Ensure that those software titles are properly licensed.
•Manage accessibility tools and provides support for faculty in the implementation and use of them. Supports ADA compliance of online courses and platform.
•Manage the college's academic learning platforms and learning management system(s).
•Support Enrollment Services and Faculty in advising, retention, and completion goals through educational support software.
•Collaborate with multiple partners, both internal and external on eLearning and academic success initiatives.
•Support correctional education technology, including faculty training on course development, design, and best practices that adhere to state and national standards.
•Serve as the point of contact for the system office eLearning group. Manage and implement initiatives.
•Foster, demonstrate, and actively participate in a culture of mutual respect for students, guests, and co-workers from all backgrounds, perspectives and abilities. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors and utilize appropriate channels of communication within the college community concerning procedures and/or inquiries.
•Attend and participate in scheduled activities, which include graduation, open house/recruiting events as assigned, convocation, and required meetings. Share ideas and information, and work toward common department and College goals.
•Serve on college committees as a member or as chair. Serve on search committees.
•Participate in professional development activities that enhance effectiveness (convocation, LCTCS conference, etc.).
•Represent the college in a manner that promotes a professional and positive image.
•Adhere to College and LCTCS policies.
•Embrace college culture.
•Complete all required trainings prior to deadlines (Fletcher, LCTCS, etc.).
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education : A Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years' experience in use and/or management of electronic learning initiatives with demonstrated competence in the effective use of LMS/CMS and/or other electronic course delivery methods.

Required Experience : Demonstrated proficiency in the use of web design software, multimedia delivery software, graphic design, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other appropriate software to facilitate the development and delivery of quality online/distance education courses; and experience with curriculum and course development. Experience in developing and coordinating training.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, and computer/technology skills; ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally; ability to work harmoniously with students, faculty, and the community of interest; willingness to work with administration and faculty in the development and implementation of courses, training, policies, procedures, and evaluations.
