Summary: Internal Operations at the Fronius USA Portage location is responsible for the planning, organizing, and implementing internal value creation procedures for the service provision process. As Head of Internal Operations, you will continuously develop and modernize the department as well as strategically align with global standards. You are responsible for operational performance to achieve set goals in terms of leadership, process, quality, and profitability. The Head of Internal Operations provides the necessary resources and ensures Fronius values by implementing the Leadership Framework. Through consistent and continuous management, you ensure the competitiveness of your area and continually expand it. You align your organizational unit with specific customer needs to create conditions for efficient fulfillment of customer orders. The Head of Internal Operations reports to the Managing Director of Fronius USA. Tasks And Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for operational service delivery with a focus on quality, on-time delivery, cost, and profitability. Promotes cooperation with the relevant national seams and stakeholders as well as with Fronius International. Establishes and promotes internal and external networks to ensure a continuous exchange of experience and increase in knowledge. Ensures a high level of competitiveness and performance. Consistently adheres to common global standards, processes, tools, and methodologies to achieve performance and growth objectives. Undertakes the goal development process and operationalization of results within Internal Operations at the Portage location. Ensures high transparency, consistency, and timely escalation through the use of floor management and working with KPI's. Guarantees above-average standards in leadership, management, corporate culture, employer attractiveness. Promotes and develops a culture in-line with the Fronius Way 5.x. Provides orientation and creates meaning for FK and MA through visions and goals. Establishes a value mindset and leadership principles to achieve operations excellence. Promotes ONE common culture, ONE common mindset, and ONE common communication across Internal Operations at the Portage location. All other duties as assigned by management. Leadership Tasks And Responsibilities: Takes on responsibility for management and planning to ensure required resources and capacity. Manages, assigns, and monitors projects under consistent application of the Project Management Standard. Establishes decision-making and control principles based on figures, data and facts. Creates a framework in which managers and employees are developed (through such channels as coaching) and reach their potential. Assumes disciplinary responsibility over the Manufacturing areas of High-Level Assembly Verto, Assembly PAT, Production Process Support as well as over the logistics areas of Inbound Logistics, Systems Logistics, Outbound Logistics and Logistics Process Support at the Portage location. Assumes responsibility of ensuring that the Internal Operations division is perceived as a reliable partner in all directions. Requirements: Possess a valid Passport or have the ability to obtain and pay for a valid Passport. Completed technical and/or business education with focus on manufacturing or logistics (university, technical college, or comparable further education/training). Proven expertise in leadership, coaching, and self-management. Project management experience. Extensive experience in the implementation and application of Lean Management and Value Stream Management. 5+ years of experience in leading people. 5+ years of experience in the area of shop floor management. Practice and experience in working with targets and KPI’s. Management of and participation in interdisciplinary teams and projects. Entrepreneurial thinking and behavior. Carrier and multiplier of the company culture. High understanding of logistics and manufacturing processes. Strong technical background and high technical affinity. Ability to lead in a results-oriented manner. Willingness to perform, commit, and be flexible. Conflict management and intercultural understanding. High team orientation and social competence. Strong communication and networking skills. Optimistic outlook. High quality and cost awareness. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak German a plus. Health and Safety: Must comply with all safety and health standards established by Fronius USA, LLC and federal, state, or local requirements. Ability to bend and reach with repetitive motion. Hearing, naturally or with aids. Vision 20/20, with or without correction. Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. Physical demands of the job include standing, use of hands to manipulate objects, talking, hearing, looking, typing, walking, twisting and bending. Employees could be requested to lift, carry, reach above the shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel and crouch. Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting. Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium.
