Job Description The Material Coordinator is responsible for the movement of material throughout the site. This may include loading/unloading of trailers and movement of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.

This role is on B Shift, 1PM - 9PM, M-F.

Starting hiring rate: $24.79/hr

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Activities and duties may vary dependent upon site specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

Schedule Shipment arrangements in the most efficient and economical manner.

Communicate in a professional manner with all business units both internal and external.

Move material to/from raw, WIP, Finished, Shipping, Receiving, and manufacturing areas.

Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.

Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.

Support inventory accuracy:

Complete/Support warehouse and departmental cycles counts and correct discrepancies

Raw/Finishing warehouse:

Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and other consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.

Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping

Perform all assignments, duties, and tasks in a safe manner following standard procedures and practices. Encourage others to do so. Correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately.

Perform duties to continuously improve quality and productivity.

Maintain a safe, clean work area.

Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.

Communicate and coordinate necessary information to appropriate department/shift employees to ensure effective operations.

Lead in the recycling of pallets, cardboard, and scrap materials.

Support all 5S housekeeping activities.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience

Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.

Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.

Must have strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand root cause, then communicate / education team in a timely manner.

Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.

Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, especially strong MFG Pro transactional skills.

Preferred Requirements:

3-5+ year's previous material handling experience.

Solid interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical aptitude and logical problem solving skills.

Skilled in working independently in a safe and timely manner necessary.

Be motivated towards productivity, safety and quality improvements

Experience leading continuous improvement efforts and knowledgeable about ELS Operating Principles preferred.

Adaptive, flexible, able to handle ambiguity.

Experience working in a team environment.
