Job Title: Nurse PractitionerJob Summary:Responsible for diagnoses, treatment, and consultation, performing independently or as a part of a team. Educate patients about prescribed treatments and preventative care. Conduct patient exams, perform physicals, order tests, prescribe medications and serve as a primary healthcare provider or as an entry point into a multi-disciplinary medical practice.Part Time - 2 days/week Nurse Practitioner Role and Responsibilities:Admit patients into the Orthopedics Surgery program and/or Urgent Care programPerform history and physicals for all new patients admitted into the programsDiagnose conditions and plan appropriate care plansConduct patient clinics independently and in support of the programsPrescribe and order diagnostic tests, medications, and interventional proceduresRefer patients for surgical consultation when necessaryPrescribe and refer to ancillary services, including but not limited to, physical therapy, massage. therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, aquatic therapy, personal training programEducate patients about diagnosis, treatment options, treatment types, preventative careParticipate in on call rotation for the practiceProvide leadership and guidance, and ensure cohesiveness for support staff, including but not limited to the MA's, billers, collectors, and front office staffNurse Practitioner Required Qualifications:Master's or doctoral degree program from an accredited universityMinimum of 2 years in an operating room setting experience; preferably in an ambulatory surgery centerGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent APRN license in the state of GeorgiaBasic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Education:Master's (Required)License/Certification:Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)RN (Required)Talantage, LLC is committed to presenting candidates that contribute to an organizations culture of inclusivity and its commitment to diversity in the workplace are demonstrated through our recruitment practices.
