Overview

POSITION SUMMARY The IT Project Manager (AMI) is accountable and responsible for the overall project planning, organizing, management, supervision, coordination and administration of all projects. Oversee project deployment activities Lead integration of AMI with LUMA systems (CC&B Billing System, LUMA Customer Portal, GIS, WO Management system) Work closely with the vendor, AMI PMO, and Business Transformation for the deployment of AMI meters

The Project Managers are expected to multitask and diligently handle multiple projects competing for resources with competing timelines and objectives. This position is expected to have the ability, skills and experience to handle multiple large scale and large value complex projects at the same time. Achieve project completion on budget, on time, as per agreed scope and with proper risk and quality management. AMI Project Deliverables: Grid modernization: future solution shall provide communication access for distribution assets and sensors to monitor real-time grid power flow and capacity. Advanced analytics to proactively manage and mitigate grid system challenges. Ability to accept innovative grid technologies. Reduce frequency, scale, and/or duration of disruptions. Reduce capacity interconnection time. Increase regional and interregional transfer capacity or reducing costs associated with increased reliability. Enhance collaboration between eligible entities on grid resilience.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS Supports each of the seven (7) detailed expected outcomes for AMI deployment. Particularly ensuring that necessary integrations for the IT systems and processes are completed. Manages team’s work so that it is completed on time, on budget, and within required scope. This role has expertise within the IT field so that deliverables are managed with the appropriate level of expertise. Provides project management and coordination between LUMA IT, AMI Project Managers, System Integration vendor(s), existing LUMA IT consultants/contractors supporting. Works closely with the PMO providing input to the PMO artifacts. Provides necessary scope. Escalates risks and issues. Ensures project progress and planning aligns to LUMA IT requirements and standards. Communicates to IT leadership. Works with Solution Architects to ensure standards and technical platforms adheres to Luma IT Standards Manages scope and change management. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bachelor of Science, Engineering or related discipline. 7+ years of experience in a Project Manager role. Strong

expertise within the IT field. Should have experience in an electrical utility environment. Project management Professional (PMP or PgMP) training and experience would be considered an asset. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization through various means such as email, phone, video conferencing, and in-person. Strong ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and facilitate meetings as related to strategy, training, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Proficient in handheld GPS usage, GIS, Computers, MS Office and Outlook applications. Excellent, organizational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities. Work with limited supervision. Track / monitor / report on various deliverables. Prioritize and organize own work. Excellent time management, organizational and planning skills. Attention to accuracy and detail. Proficient in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, MS Projects, Primavera P6, Computer based Earned Value Management, Cost Control, Schedule Control, Resourcing management, Risk Management, Project Management Tools.
