Henry Company (A Carlisle Company) is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working, and dependable Warehouse Supervisor. Our quality products offer designers, contractors, and building owners the right solutions for below grade, walls and roofs. <br> <br>Duties and Responsibilities: <br> <br>* Oversee operations related to the receipt and storage of raw materials, and receipt, storage, and order fulfillment of all Finished Goods. <br>* Help determine and manage manpower requirements. <br> <br>* Help ensure all department personnel are current with required training certifications and are competently trained to perform the certified task. <br>* Help hourly associates: hiring, training, development, coaching, certification, performance evaluation / feedback and discipline. <br>* Coordinate and manage transfer of product from manufacturing to distribution. <br>* Help measure and manage the Department's daily Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance. <br> <br>* Help ensure Department maintains a vibrant safety program to include: pro-active safety initiatives, incident investigation, actively promoting SafeStart concepts, and managing an effective Department Safety Team. Drive activity to minimize accidents and safety related incidents. <br>* Help manage and support all daily expectations of planned, initiated, and ongoing COS programs. <br> <br>* Champion efforts to meet Inventory Accuracy Targets, Order Fulfilment Accuracy Goals, OTIF metrics, and productivity targets. <br>* Attend / Lead various meetings including but not limited to Safety, Operations, Scheduling, and Distribution. <br> <br>Equipment/Data: <br> <br>* Equipment Operated: <br> <br>Computer, printer, copier, tablet, RF scanner, cell phone, camera, powered dock doors / dock locks / levelers. <br> <br>* Data Used: <br> <br>JDE, Oracle Databases, DSI (or equivalent WMS), MS Office <br> <br>* Interpersonal Skills: <br> <br>Ability to be a team player and establish a rapport will all levels. <br> <br>Interact with all Customer Service, Corporate Transportation, Corporate Inventory Control, Sales, Research and Development, Purchasing, Carriers, Temporary Staffing Services, and other vendors. <br> <br>Work Environment/Time Worked: <br> <br>* Work Environment: <br> <br>Manufacturing / Warehouse setting <br> <br>* Time Worked: <br> <br>Hours Worked - As needs of the business dictates. <br> <br> Days of Week Worked - Typically Monday through Friday. <br> <br>Supervisory Responsibilities: <br> <br>Tasks: <br> <br> Complete performance appraisals <br> <br> Coach & counsel employees <br> <br> Maintain attendance/vacation logs <br> <br> Recommend & carry out disciplinary action <br> <br> Train new employees <br> <br> Recommend hiring and firing of hourly employees <br> <br>Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. <br> <br>Supervisory Verification: As supervisor of this position, I agree the description of the position described in this document is accurate and a true reflection of the work performed by the incumbent. <br> <br>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used: <br> <br>* Eye and hearing protection is required at all times on the production floor. <br>* Safety toe shoes (steel/composite) must cover ankle <br>* Other PPE as defined by management within assigned department. <br> <br>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: <br> <br>* Essential Full Performance Knowledge: <br> <br>Quality Standards for products. <br> <br>Finished Goods: product types, dimensions, weights, shelf life, and handling requirements. <br> <br>JDE Transactions related to Inventory, Transportation, Production Planning, and Customer Service. <br> <br>CWT Safety Policies. <br> <br>Warehouse layout and operation. <br> <br>* Essential Full Performance Skills: <br> <br>Leadership - Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others <br> <br>Problem solving skills - Ability to make decisions both independently and jointly <br> <br>Reading - Comprehensive skills <br> <br>Math- Comprehensive skills <br> <br>Writing - Monthly reports, Performance Appraisals <br> <br>Communication - Both Written and Verbal <br> <br>Computer skills - Microsoft Office, JDE, analytics <br> <br>Forklift operation - Manage forklift fleet for department <br> <br>Education and Experience: <br> <br>* Education: <br> <br>Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. <br> <br>* Experience: <br> <br>Minimum 2-3 years of managing inventory, thru-put distribution, and material handling within a distribution organization utilizing a Warehouse Management System. <br> <br>Physical Requirements: <br> <br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
