JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Sales

Retail Execution, the District Sales Manager oversees the company's sales on a regional scale. District Sales Manager is responsible for assigned district, of the company, monitoring sales, profitability, inventory, supervise, hire and train staff, develop guidelines and strategies and promote customer satisfaction. QUALIFICATIONS: 4-year college degree and/or 5 years of Supervisory experience in wholesaling/distribution. Valid Hawaii state driver license and personal vehicle required. Possess strong leadership skills, training and developing their direct reports to execute at high levels to achieve sales goals. Confident, patient and resilient in directing their staff, with strong communication abilities that allow them to clearly outline expectations. MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to work under stressful conditions Able to interact with others with courtesy and tact Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner Ability to respond to crisis situations in a calm and effective manner Ability to complete projects on schedule PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The position requires sitting; climbing and/or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; standing; walking; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; use of vision; pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying 25-50 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds; able to travel by airplane. COMMUNICATION DEMANDS: The position requires talking to co-workers, customers, vendors; requires written communication to and from co-workers, customers, vendor, talking on the telephones; requires responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers, customers, and vendors; requires training/giving verbal and written instructions; requires receiving verbal and written instructions; requires writing/composing written language; requires reading; requires visiting/working at other work-sites; Ability to communicate via the latest technologies required for the position. EQUIPMENT NEEDS: Operates basic office equipment. DESCRIPTION OF WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most work will be indoors and occasionally outdoors. Attendance at trainings, both in Hawaii and on the mainland, may be required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Regular attendance is required for the position Ability to staff, train, develop and manage their team members required for their district. Responsible for team members and overall district execution against company objectives, chain programming and agreed upon supplier objectives. Conduct team member work-with to identify opportunities, provide advanced training, and team selling. Daily and weekly tracking against monthly / quarterly / annual goals. Ability to identify gaps and develop gap closure plans with and for team. Participate in monthly objective and goal planning. Responsible for informing, training and ensuring all team members follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Attend sales meetings and on-going training Maintain work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all Emergency Responses and Safety practices Perform other related District Sales Management duties as required or assigned OTHER FUNCTIONS: Performs other related duties as assigned OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Able to meet basic standards of physical, mental health, and communication demands. Specified by State/Federal and/or professional standards applicable to this organization. This position will require some weekends and after hours work.
