Call Center Representative

The Call Center Representative provides personal care and professional excellence by operation of the main hospital telephone console system, the in-house paging system, monitoring the alarm panels, and monitoring other 24-hour department needs such as keys.

Job Duties:

Operate the switchboard with courtesy and professionalism. Answer and direct telephone calls in a polite and informative manner.

Take and relays messages.

Page individuals to inform them of telephone calls, using paging and interoffice communication equipment.

Assists with the Physician Referral line.

Monitor equipment alarms and complete checklist per shift.

Collect physician on-call schedules and manage the white board per shift.

Activating Life Flight beacon when notified of pending arrival.

Search for patient records within the EHR to answer questions and connect callers to the appropriate destination.

Shift Details:

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Variable shifts

Weekend and other shifts required.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

One year experience operating a multi-line phone/switchboard system preferred.

Prior healthcare experience preferred.
