Job Duties:

  • Utilize travel and general medicine guidelines to educate clients about disease processes, and vaccine-preventable diseases safely and effectively.
  • Must be able to use standing orders to determine eligibility, draw up and administer vaccines, and observe for any adverse reactions.
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and safe service to patients and clients.
  • Diligently participate in the company’s training to ensure up to date knowledge of travel medicine and vaccination.
  • Adhere to safety protocols as set by the company’s medical directives and regulations.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Educate the client on the diseases that are common in the area of travel and recommend vaccines, medications, or products to decrease those risks (E.g. Typhoid, Cholera, Hepatitis A, Polio, Japanese Encephalitis, Yellow Fever, etc)
  • Must have the ability to promote vaccines, products, and medications for client safety while traveling using strong and thorough sales tactics.
  • Must be flexible to travel to local onsite events as directed by clinical management. (I.e. Administer vaccines at a company sponsored wellness event)
  • Practice appropriate storage and handling of vaccines, including but not limited to carrying and lifting vaccine boxes.
  • Accept delivered packages and ensure all inventory is accounted for.
  • Carry and organize clinic supplies.
  • Ensure all areas of the clinic are clean and well organized.
  • May be responsible for meeting and unpacking packages, vaccines, furniture and fixtures during clinic set up.
  • Responsible for organization and maintenance of clinic space to facilitate smooth client flow.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • One year of experience with travel medicine and clinic experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in travel Medicine, either in a private clinic or Public Health setting is an asset.
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a clinic with no supervision, or administrative staff.
  • Must be willing to travel if requested to (other nearby clinics).
  • Must have ability to follow Medical standing orders to safely administer vaccines and dispense medications in compliance with the CARNA and the Passport Health Standard of Care.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
    • Need to be familiar with Google platforms (Gmail, drive, docs, meet).
  • First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate effectively with corporate clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and self-directed environment.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without detailed supervision.
  • Curiosity and interest regarding international travel is a huge plus.
Working Environment:
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and supporting patients.
  • Ensures the clinic and storage room is clean and well organized.
  • Moves and restructures organization of storage areas to make space for new inventory
