The Business Intelligence Data Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of solutions used to collect and analyze supply chain business data for data insights, risk mitigation and overall management. Tasks include creation of dashboards, databases, data ingest, and other platforms that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of business data and key insights.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with business clients and stakeholders to deliver functional, valued add information for business management.

They will also ensure that common technology, design practices, and infrastructure are used when applicable; and facilitates the reuse of components, and proven methodologies. Primary Responsibilities: Data Management and Engineering : Design, develop, and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lakes that provide structured and timely access to large datasets. API Management : Develop and manage APIs that facilitate access to and exchange of data across various platforms and systems. Data Analysis and Visualization : Leverage SQL, Python, JSON, and DAX for data analysis, modeling, and visualization. Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI to present data in a visually engaging and understandable manner for business stakeholders. Business Intelligence : Understand business needs and translate them into data solutions. Generate actionable insights to inform business decision-making. Collaboration : Work closely with business teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions accordingly. Data Integrity : Implement data quality checks, data validation, and ensure the reliability and consistency of data. Optimization : Continually improve processes and systems for optimal performance and efficiency. Compliance and Security : Ensure all data management and processing activities comply with relevant regulations and best practices in data security. Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, JSON, and DAX. Proficiency with Power BI or similar data visualization tools. Experience in handling and managing APIs. Understanding of data engineering best practices and principles. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
