Job Title: Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) / Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) / Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Location: Fort Dodge, IA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000 - $95,000
Summary:
We are actively seeking a knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our outpatient mental health services team. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health services in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to client care, a deep understanding of therapeutic practices, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
  • Client Assessment and Treatment Planning:
    • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and challenges.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments, client goals, and evidence-based practices.
    • Regularly review and update treatment plans to reflect changes in the client’s progress and needs.
  • Therapeutic Interventions:
    • Provide individual, family, and group therapy using a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to the client’s needs.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health concerns.
    • Facilitate crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.
  • Client Advocacy and Support:
    • Advocate for clients to ensure they receive appropriate services and support within the community.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care and services for clients.
    • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of mental health issues and treatment options.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, state licensure requirements, and organizational protocols.
    • Participate in regular case consultations, supervision, and continuing education to stay current with best practices and licensure requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other therapists, to deliver holistic care to clients.
    • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive therapeutic environment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active licensure in Iowa as an LISW, LMFT, or LMHC.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
    • Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, family systems therapy).
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to work on-site full-time.
    • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings as needed to accommodate client needs.
