Our Surgical Nurse Externship Program offers aspiring nurses the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment, working alongside seasoned professionals in various clinical settings.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist registered nurses and healthcare teams in delivering direct patient care.
  • Perform basic nursing procedures under the supervision of a preceptor.
  • Participate in patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in educational opportunities and learning sessions provided by the hospital.
Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing entering the last semester of an ADN program or the last year of a BSN program.
  • Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
  • CPR certification (preferred but not required).
