Our Surgical Nurse Externship Program offers aspiring nurses the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment, working alongside seasoned professionals in various clinical settings.
Responsibilities:
- Assist registered nurses and healthcare teams in delivering direct patient care.
- Perform basic nursing procedures under the supervision of a preceptor.
- Participate in patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in educational opportunities and learning sessions provided by the hospital.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing entering the last semester of an ADN program or the last year of a BSN program.
- Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
- CPR certification (preferred but not required).
- Hands-on clinical experience in a renowned healthcare facility.
- Mentorship from experienced nurses and healthcare professionals.
- Exposure to diverse patient populations and medical specialties.
- Earn schoolwork experience units.
- Flexible working hours
