Urgent Care Midlevel
Assess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in collaboration with a physician.
  • Educate patients and/or families about preventive care, positive behaviors, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
  • Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records.
  • Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, outcomes, education, and referrals.
  • Serve as Medical Examiner and perform physical examinations and other occupational health exams.
  • Prescribe medications within scope of license.
  • Ability and willingness to work at least one weekend a month.
  • Promote teamwork between clinical and administrative staff.
  • Be able to work independently (under indirect supervision).
  • Has the ability to use judgment to determine when a supervising physician should be consulted.
  • Perform point of care testing such as Covid, Influenza and Strep A swabbing.
  • Occupational Component of KIA, Georgia specific facility includes performing non-DOT urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing and hair specimen collection.
Education and Experience
  • Current licensure as a Certified Registered Family Nurse Practitioner or Current Licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Have at least one year of experience (2+ preferred) as a provider in an emergency care setting or urgent care setting.
