The nursing staff on the 3N Mother Baby Unit provide individualized care to postpartum women and newborns within the context of family and relationship centered care. The patient population consists of women in the early postpartum period and their normal newborns or uncomplicated late preterm newborns, women who chose to be cared for on the MB unit following a newborn loss and women who are readmitted to the hospital within 6 weeks postpartum.Shifts Available: Unit Based FlexStatus Available Requirements: one winter holiday and two difficult to staff/summer holiday shifts per year These may be from a list* or employees may be assigned a unit rotation, depending on individual unit procedures. These shifts are in addition to the two weekend shifts required per schedule. Employees who have an unscheduled absence on their scheduled holiday or difficult to staff shift will be scheduled for another holiday or difficult to staff shift during the calendar year. This make up shift will be scheduled by the manager based on unit schedule needs. Holiday and difficult to staff shifts to be assigned based on unit needs.Required Qualifications:EducationGraduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse.
