Boeing, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated, talented Mission Systems Integrator to join the Cruise Missile Systems team located in Saint Charles, MO . In this position you will be responsible for coordination, alignment, and execution of overall CMS Mission Systems Hardware/Software integration plan from development, to production, to sustainment.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

  • Teams in which the role will require frequent interface include, but are not limited to: Mission Systems/ Avionics Integration, System Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Design/Integration, Avionics or Airframe System Hardware Design/ Qualification, Hardware in the Loop (HIL), Product Security, Supplier Management & Procurement, Configuration Management

  • Teams in which the role will require in-frequent interface include, but are not limited to: Engineering Software Integration Lab (ESIL), Ground and Flight Test, Factory Test Equipment, Airframe Integration, Quality, and Product Handling & Integrated Logistics Systems (ILS) Planning.

  • Work to identify areas of improvement (design changes, processes, etc.) which create efficiencies or are beneficial to multiple Cruise Missile System (CMS) products simultaneously vs single products.

  • Develop clear and concise presentation of complex technical issues and their associated resolution plans. With the communication skills necessary to relay the issues and resolutions.

  • Provide technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans

  • Work under minimal direction.

  • Develop statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements

  • Work with customers and management to obtain approval

  • Respond to changes to SOW, assess the impact and negotiate proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules

  • Lead project execution to complete the work statement

  • Identify performance metrics

  • Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required over the life of the project or program

  • Define plans for risk mitigation and opportunity

  • Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Saint Charles, MO.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 5 or more years’ experience leading and managing projects with multi-disciplined technical teams

  • Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex weapons systems

  • Experience interfacing with senior military officials

  • Experience with standard Boeing Software Microsoft Office and Microsoft Explorer

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start

  • 3 or more years of experience in systems engineering to include system architecture, requirements, interface development, allocation, verification and validation, risk management, integration and test

  • 3 or more years of experience with avionics systems integration

  • Experience with engineering tools such as Sherlock, Team Center, Micro Soft Project, are a plus

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $ 140,250 – $ 189,750.
