Short Description: Contribute subject matter expertise to design and development of pilot outpatient Suboxone treatment program with physician medical lead and program managers.

Provides substance abuse counseling services including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, long-term counseling, psycho education, case management, advocacy, and follow-up to adult patient panel.

Conduct mental health assessments with systematic rating tools and track these in a registry.

Consults with patients medical team to enhance understanding of patient; provides decision support for treatment planning and assists in the implementation and monitoring of biopsychosocial treatment plans.

Self-care plan development and skills training to facilitate disease self-management, improved coping, distress tolerance, stress reduction and relaxation and affect regulation.

Support protocol-driven substance abuse treatment for patient panel.

Performs on-call duties as required by program protocols and patient need.

Provide behavioral health care management support for Suboxone patient panel, particularly coordination of care between medical providers and community resources.

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years full-time substance abuse counseling experience Experience in behavioral health as a clinical provider (biopsychosocial evaluations and psychotherapy). Experience in a group treatment modality a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Education Requirements: Masters degree or doctorate in social work or counseling

License/Certification Requirements: NJ Social Work Licens (LSW) OR Counselor License (LAC) required Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) preferred NJ Certified or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC/LADC) preferred Special Requirements: Training in current evidence based substance abuse treatments and therapeutic approaches.; Ability to manage priorities and workflow; Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm; Strong interpersonal skills; Able to work collaboratively with multiple health and community professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline; Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds;
