Job Title: IT Manager - WHIO TV

Position Overview

WHIO TV Dayton is looking for an IT Manager who is responsible for improving the operational capabilities and supporting all revenue and audience-producing efforts by managing the setup, installation, maintenance and monitoring of all IT systems including network infrastructure (LAN and WAN), desktops, laptops, servers, software, multimedia streaming and broadcast audio delivery systems. Must work closely with other departments in the maintenance and operation of their equipment with a focus on excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Exude superior customer service and foster teamwork Respond with urgency to IT service issues and demonstrate a genuine interest in helping IT clients Keep IT clients informed about IT decisions, continually update status and progress, provide change documentation, training, and guidance Act as a trustworthy IT expert and consultant Significant technical expertise in the planning, implementation, support and maintenance of all IT hardware and software Ensure that all projects are properly planned and executed per agreed-upon schedule while ensuring compliance with all company rules, standards, regulations, and guidelines Must have strong troubleshooting skills and be able to find quick solutions to complex problems Excellent technical writing skills are required to document equipment installation, wiring, maintenance, repair, replacement and operation Advise management on the long-range planning for the improvement, modernization and replacement of IT equipment and software Ensure all IT systems and software are updated and patched with a focus on vulnerability mitigation Minimum Qualifications

B.S. degree in Computer Science and 5 years of related IT experience in a professional business office environment or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience Extensive experience in a datacenter environment in support of Windows, Microsoft Active Directory domain, SAN and NAS hardware, desktop hardware and software, connectivity between all environments and the preservation of critical data infrastructure required Excellent written and oral communications, personable and timely interaction and response with fellow employees Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills Must be able to climb ladders, work in small places, and lift 50 pounds Experience with broadcast specific software and systems, broadcast engineering experience, Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) Certification or any previous experience in broadcast radio a plus Must be able to deal confidentially with sensitive information
