SUMMARY   The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing wafer manufacturing processes in capability, reliability capacity, de-bottlenecking, and managing day-to-day operations related to wafer production at the new QCELLS factory in Cartersville, GA. This includes production line management, office management, and vendor management. The Process Engineer will be a vital member of the Wafer Process team and will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth Wafer operations of the facility.    RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Optimize manufacturing processes in capability, reliability, and capacity de-bottlenecking
  • Work closely with other engineers and technicians across the organization to ensure stable production processes.
  • Participate in process design, development, definition, and quality test activities to build a stable Wafer process.
  • Support authoring process descriptions and batch records, support equipment, commissioning, process training, and validation activities.
  • Create and revise an SOP for each process and develop and implement standard operation procedures for process yield improvement.
  • Manage day-to-day operations related to process improvement at the factory, including facilities management, office management, vendor management, and general administrative duties as assigned.
  • Small & large volume test before turning mass production
  • Real-time production problem management, including coordinating Cell process, problem escalation to appropriate support levels, tracking, and follow-up
  • Implement efficiency improvements for existing processes, including reductions in cycle time, chemical and water usage, defects, and process variation.
  • Document and carry out shop floor implementation tests for new manufacturing processes based on PFMEA, documenting results in technical reports
  • Communicate results through monthly reports, technical memos, and presentations to various audiences and stakeholders.
  • Provide training for Process Development Engineers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineering
  • Relevant experience within an industrial engineering environment (semiconductor, solar, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of experience within a process/manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical capability in both chemistry and chemical engineering, discovering a new process
  • Assist with the training of new employees as requested
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Proficiency in Engineering tools (CAD, Statics, Minitab, etc.)
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

  • Able to stand and walk in the production area throughout the workday
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Qcells
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to travel overseas as required
