Overview
HSM Spiller is looking for a CDL-A truck driver. Must have a CDL Class-A, with two years of experience. At HSM Spiller we pride ourselves on being home weekly. Along with runs that last 2-3 days at a time. At HSM Spiller there is a 99% no touch freight along with great compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities
Compensation:
  • Average Weekly Earnings: $1,300
  • Mileage Rate: $0.71 per mile
  • Stop Bonus: $18.00 per stop after the 2nd stop
  • Short Trip Bonus: $75 for trips under 450 miles
  • Additional Pay: Includes compensation for stop pay, detention, and breakdown time
Work Schedule:
  • Weekly Home Time: Drivers are guaranteed home time every weekend, with additional mid-week home time opportunities.

  • Equipment: Dry van trailers, primarily transporting non-perishable goods.
  • Freight Handling:
    • No Touch Freight: 99% of loads do not require driver involvement in loading or unloading.
    • Freight Types: The role involves a mix of live unloads and drop-and-hook operations.
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced truck driver to join our team. This role involves operating a dry van and managing a mix of live unloads and drop-and-hook deliveries. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe Operation of Vehicles:
    • Operate company vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
  • Efficient Route Management:
    • Manage out-and-back routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to company schedules.
    • Plan and adjust routes as needed to avoid delays and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Freight Handling:
    • Oversee the loading and unloading process, ensuring that all freight is handled safely and securely.
    • Coordinate with customers and warehouse staff during live unloads, and efficiently manage drop-and-hook operations.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate logs of hours of service, mileage, and all other required documentation.
    • Report any mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Provide excellent customer service during all interactions, ensuring a positive experience for clients and maintaining the company's reputation.
    • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and other company personnel to resolve any issues that arise during deliveries.
  • Adherence to Company Policies:
    • Follow all company policies, including safety protocols, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable DOT regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Problem-Solving and Flexibility:
    • Handle unexpected situations, such as delays, traffic issues, or customer requests, with professionalism and adaptability.
    • Be prepared to perform additional tasks as assigned, including assisting with other logistics or warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A- CDL
  • At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
