Application/Production Support Specialist with AWS

A financial firm is looking for an Application/Production Support Specialist with AWS to join their team in Iselin, NJ.

Compensation: $150k

Within this role, the specialist will provide 2nd line production operational shift support and perform releases for company application services, many of which are business critical. They will also provide remote and on-site support as part of the on-call support rota and assist where required with the delivery of minor/major projects and programmes. Qualifications:

Required A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Prior IT operational support experience across business critical Production infrastructure, applications and database services Strong release experience on Linux Red Hat Servers in a Production enterprise environment Experience of providing production support activities for business critical Linux/applications Experience of enterprise monitoring systems Experience of managing and utilizing system management tools Experience in working with ticket system ServiceNow and an understanding of priorities and SLAs Experience of providing cross training on technologies and operational processes to colleagues Ability to collaborate effectively with other operational support teams in order to support the Production service Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong documentation and technical writing skills Ability to plan and implement technical changes, that follow company change rules, without unexpected disruption to the service and with minimal oversight Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) framework orunderstanding of Incident, Problem, Change Experience of leading production technical operational support teams Preferred Experience of supporting AIX systems Knowledge of Banking Systems and related industry standard practices Industry standard IT certification Linux (Redhat)/VMware/Symantec VCS ITIL certification 24-00405
