1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.

Interpret provider's instructions, screen patient's, explain procedure to patient. Perform procedures by visualization of anatomy and recording images, review and complete patient exams.

Typical Exams:

• Abdomen

• Renal

• Infant Hips

• Infant Pylorus

• Pelvis including EV

• Breast

• Thyroid

• Soft Tissue Neck/Chest

• Various lumps/bumps

• Biophysical Profiles

• OB Anatomy Scans

• Venous/Arterial Arms & Legs

• ABIs

• Carotids

• Aorta/SMA/IVC



Typical Procedures:

• Thyroid Biopsy

• Breast Biopsy

• Soft Tissue Biopsies

• Paracentesis

• Thoracentesis



We do NOT do:

• MSK Exams

• Guided Joint Injection/Aspiration

• Venous Insufficiency Studies

• Intraoperative Vascular Procedures





2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)

Ultrasound Equipment - Philips Epiq 5 & Epiq Elite

Worksheets: Kailo

EMR: EPIC



3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.

1 year experience



4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)

ARDMS (AB, OB/GYN) and BLS required

RVT (VT) preferred



5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required? )

Employee may occasionally work alone, Day shift, 4x10 hours or 5x8 hours optional. No weekends. No holidays. Call not required.



6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments? )

No floating



7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.

Inpatient - 27beds ER: 6 and Radiology: 2 exam rooms



8. Dress Code:

any solid color scrubs



9. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program.

Condensed orientation with HR. 1-2 week shadowing with current staff. Equipment competency sign-offs.

Licenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support), ARDMS-RVT (Reg Vascular Technologist)
