Job Description
Evaluation of Current and Potential Contracts-
  • Review contractual commitments and customer specifications;
  • Determine logistics support requirements, such as facility details and staffing needs;
  • Conduct logistics studies or analysis, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses;
  • Analyze logistics data involving forecasting, procurement, inventory, transportation, or warehousing;
  • Create models or scenarios to predict the impact of changing circumstances, such as fuel costs, road pricing, energy taxes, or other regulations;
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current or future logistical processes;

Evaluation of Effectiveness of Facility-
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports to other departments regarding the status on cost, schedule, and workload requirements;
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes;
  • Determine logistic support sequences and time phasing, and other factors affecting the supply chain of any given contract;
  • Evaluate existing systems and models of operation;
  • Evaluate the use of inventory tracking technology and web-based warehousing software to maximize facility efficiency;
  • Collaborate and develop supplier base with local and international shipping suppliers;
  • Propose logistics solutions for management;
Research and Improvement of Facility and Processes-
  • Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency;
  • Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities;
  • Prepare logistic strategies or conceptual designs for warehousing facilities;
  • Comparing HTS Code, Schedule B Code, Import/Export laws and regulations among different countries; AND
  • Prepare recommendations of operating procedures to management.
Requirements
  • other major(s) and/or fields(s) of study required: logistics, engineering, statistics, supply chain management, or related
  • analytical skills;
  • critical-thinking skills;
  • software/programs: microsoft office, erp system (sap, oracle), lean six sigma, sql, and tableau.

Minimum pay $56368
