What You'll Do
The Material Handler will be responsible for quickly and accurately moving production materials and parts into and out of warehouse shelves, storage bins, and production locations. Receive and put away inbound deliveries.
Pick and issue parts for production jobs.
Make inventory and other transactions in company systems and databases with accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure the warehouse is a safe, clean, and efficient production work environment.
Checks completed parts to ensure compliance with Worcester Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required to meet quality goals.

In this Function, You Will
Material Handler will operate a variety of material handling equipment (sit-down or stand-up fork trucks, pallet jacks, two-wheel and four-wheel dollies, cranes, pallet stackers/walkie rider, etc.).
Unload and load delivery trucks, trailers, and outside carriers
Ensure proper movement of materials throughout fabrication work cells
Operate packaging/wrapping equipment. Inspect all materials as they are picked and delivered; including package, wrap, weigh, and stage completed product.
Material Handler will maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
Adheres to all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations, and work instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Transactions in business systems.
Basic data entry to support supply chain management.

Required Qualifications
6+ months of experience in a manufacturing setting
Stand-up fork truck experience
Basic shop math and computer understanding
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered.

Preferred Skills
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, material handling, shipping dock, or related material handling experience.
Previous experience using systems controls such as material management and MRP/ERP (AS400)
Previous experience using KANBAN and cycle counting
Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, work orders, and bills of material
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow customer-specific product requirements
Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position
Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
