Rupert A. Nock Middle School Summary: Rupert A. Nock Middle School is a grade 6-8 middle school with over 500 students. We are looking for a dynamic, positive person who enjoys working with middle school students, is comfortable in a fast-paced school environment, and is interested in collaborating with a team of over 100 staff members. This is a full-time, year-round position with hours anticipated to be from 7:30-3:30 daily. Our office clerks' responsibilities include: Creating a welcoming school atmosphere by greeting parents, students and visitors to the school and helping them with questions and concerns Managing student information system including attendance and records Enrolling new students (new student tours, enrollment process, transcript management) Managing student report cards Supporting the administrative team and teaching staff in a variety of tasks (creating appointments, providing organizational support for school reports, etc.) Works closely with Principal with upkeep budgetary books Confidentially handles all matters that involve job actions, grievances, evaluations, progressive discipline, etc. Screens unexpected callers in accordance with policy/practice Other related duties as assigned by MS Principal and Assistant Principal Oversees but not limited to: Requisitions & Purchase Orders Ordering of back up classroom supplies & Office supplies Copier-Supplies/Repairs Update Budget Folder Technology Insurance-Account Balances-Deposits (beginning of year) 8th Grade Moving up Ceremonies New Hires Building Use Nurse Water account Banner payments Postage Meter School wide Google Calendars Staff Evaluation Letters Staff Stipends Substitute Calls/Works with Principal on Daily Assignments & Sub Coverage Additional Stipend Opportunities may be available Full-Time 35 hours/wk Salary based on AFSCME contract Equal Opportunity Employer Newburyport Public Schools does not discriminate in its programs, activities or employment practices based on race, color, national origin, age, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.
