Veridos, a leading provider of identity solutions, is currently seeking a Technical Support Analyst. This remote position requires occasional travel to client locations within the Northern Oregon/Southern Washington region. The role is crucial for servicing Veridos MVR clients, ensuring seamless operation of photo capture hardware and driver's license issuance software.
Job Summary:
The Technical Support Analyst will be responsible for installing and maintaining photo capture hardware at DMV licensing offices and providing remote and on-site support for Veridos Driver's License Issuance software. This role involves collaborating with Veridos internal teams and partners across various regions, troubleshooting software issues, and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for Veridos USA clients operating software and hardware platforms in government vertical markets including K12, higher education, and local/state government.
  • Install and support photo capture hardware and software at DMV licensing offices, and train DMV end-users as needed.
  • Travel throughout Northern Oregon/Southern Washington region to deliver ongoing hardware and software support for the driver's license issuance platform.
  • Coordinate and deliver scheduled service and support, responding to routine and emergency callouts within established timeframes.
  • Generate reports on common issues, trends, and performance based on Service Level Agreements.
  • Create supporting documentation such as how-to guides, Standard Operating Procedures, and information for Root Cause Analyses.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance service schedules for Field Technicians.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Provide backup support for other regional Technical Support Analysts.
  • Support photo capture hardware and software in DMV licensing offices.
  • Manage inventory, including tracking equipment failure rates and maintenance history.
  • Perform office support when sites experience hardware/software failures.
  • Participate in and support software developer-centric tasks and roles.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in matters of significance, applying advanced knowledge acquired through specialized intellectual instruction.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma.
  • Valid driver's license and REAL ID.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle that can be used for on-site technical support calls as needed (Mileage is company paid).
  • Preferably based within the Portland or Salem, Oregon area.
  • DSLR camera experience (Canon preferred).
  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience and proficiency.
  • Familiarity with modern web-browser developer tools, Software Development Lifecycle, and QA processes.
  • Basic knowledge of collaboration tools such as Outlook, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with field operations tools such as Atlassian Service Desk, Confluence, PagerDuty.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in a technology field.
  • Experience in the ID card industry.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • A+ certification, JavaScript, PHP scripting, and relational database experience are a plus.
  • Basic experience or familiarity with QA in the Software Development Lifecycle.

  • This is a work-from-home position with a company-provided computer.
  • The role requires periodic driving for on-site support.
