The Role The Director, National Deployment Managed Optical Fiber Networks (MOFN) will be responsible for the deployment of the Managed Optical Networks within the Custom Network organization. As a critical member of the Lumen Custom Network national team, this role owns standards, drives operational excellence, and ensures seamless deployment for specifically Managed Optical Networks. This role will ensure that we maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and information security. The successful candidate will have a positive, collaborative attitude to work across internal organizations within and outside the Custom Network organization to establish and execute deployment plans for customers. The Main Responsibilities Deployment Strategy and Leadership Define, own and implement end-to-end deployment standards for specified Managed Optical Network needs from a specific customer(s). Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent methodologies and drive efficiency. Provide functional leadership to teams, fostering collaboration and alignment with goals. Oversee operations of network assets in various locations. Acquisition and Construction Oversee site acquisition, permitting, and construction activities related to the Managed Optical Network. Collaborate with real estate, legal, and engineering teams to secure sites and build infrastructure. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards. Quality, Safety, and Stakeholder Management Establish quality control processes, conduct audits to verify adherence to standards, and drive continuous improvement. Prioritize safety protocols during deployment of Managed Optical Networks, including site inspections, risk assessment and maintaining a safe work environment. Engage with stakeholders, communicate progress, risks, and strategies, and build strong relationships for successful outcomes. What We Look For in a Candidate 10+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years of leadership experience 3+ years of process improvement and/or project management experience Experience with direct management of national deployments specifically for Managed Optical Networks and fiber deployment for large customers Working knowledge of regulatory rules on a national and state level Results orientation with a demonstrated track record of success Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate information clearly, in a well-organized format, and demonstrates an understanding of operational needs Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment, with agility, resilience, and a customer-centric mindset. Compensation The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications. Location Based Pay Ranges $128,310 - $171,080

Salary Range Salary Min : 128310 Salary Max : 198080 This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
