Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioners to join our network of healthcare professionals. As a Nurse Practitioner contracted through our staffing agency, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, primary care practices, specialty practices, and more. This flexible role offers the freedom to choose assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, including health promotion, disease prevention, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
Conduct thorough health assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies within the scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms (ECGs), to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness and self-care.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient encounters, assessments, treatments, and referrals in electronic health records (EHRs) or other designated systems.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current and valid Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure in the state(s) of practice.
Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a relevant healthcare setting.
Advanced practice nursing skills and knowledge in primary care, acute care, or specialty area of practice, as applicable.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
