Telework eligible Yes as determined by agency policy Duties Summary This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development , Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner . Please refer to that announcement for details on open period, eligibility, and how to apply. Responsibilities As an Director Program Operations and Customer Service Division , you will:

  • Implement procedures and systems for evaluating HOC performance as well as the overall effectiveness of Single Family (SF) programs, providing administrative services, coordinating cross cutting issues, assessing and analyzing SF Housing programs and program data, and responding to requests for assistance on a wide range of complex SF programs of professional, technical and clerical staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the overall effectiveness of customer service and HOC performance and goal achievement as well as the overall effectiveness of SF programs within the jurisdiction of the HOC.
  • Compile, analyze, interpret and provide, on a periodic basis, sufficient data and information to assess the overall effectiveness of HOC functions.
  • Make recommendations to improve the overall management of the HOC and to ensure compliance with HUD and Housing policies, procedures and directives.

    Qualifications You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience: -Monitoring administrative and budget functions; monitoring human resources and procurement functions; assessing training needs of program personnel and developing a plan to provide appropriate training; AND -Assessing and analyzing performance of a program or office in order to make recommendations to improve performance. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
