  • 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.

    Schedule Information
  • Night shifts available.
  • Shifts & Scheduling: , / Smart Square online scheduling.
  • Weekend Requirements: Every third.
  • Holiday Requirements: Rotating with perm staff.
  • Floating Requirements: Yes, to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Beds: 40 beds with average daily census of 24.
  • Ratios: 1:4-5 both days and nights.
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes.
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin.
  • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes.
  • Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes, 1:12.
  • RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides troubleshoot? : High flow.
  • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RNs must read and interpret.
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? : 1 week.
  • Additional Notes: Overhead lifts in half the rooms, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scanner, Focus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and communication about medications.
