JOB SUMMARY Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a highly experienced and motivated senior manager of Software Engineering to lead our team in modernizing Medline systems. As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of system modernization. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality complex software projects on time and within budget. Define and manage the software development lifecycle, including project planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Establish and maintain software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies. Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines. Manage technical risks, identify potential issues, and proactively address them. Manage budget and resource allocation for software development projects. Stay up to date with the latest software development technologies, trends, and methodologies. Continuously improve software development processes to increase efficiency, quality, and reliability. Management responsibilities: --Typically manages through multiple Managers and/or Supervisors --Oversee major projects/programs/outcomes --Budget responsibility --Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies --Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning --Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.

Work Experience 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years of management experience leading software development teams.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Strong technical skills in software design, architecture, and development. Experience working in Terraform, micro-services, API, front-end technologies, architecture patterns, and design patterns. Strong experience in cloud-native development and integration patterns. Experience with agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and modern software development practices is a plus. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
