ChristianaCare Hospital is seeking an RN to work for our 6B Medical Unit. This position requires the candidate selected to work 3-12-hour Night Shift (7p-7a) with Weekend/Holiday rotation .
As a medical nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients, their families, and your peers, guided by our values of love and excellence.
Unit
6B is a 40-bed medical inpatient unit that provides acute medical care on a 24-hour basis. 6B is designed to accommodate 40 patients who need acute and/or chronic medical services. The scope of services on 6B encompasses a variety of diagnoses/testing including, but not limited to pneumonia, syncope, diabetes management, chronic obstruction pulmonary disease (COPD), and altered mental status. The patient population cared for in this area includes adults 18 years of age and up. The conditions of patients cared for on the unit can be described as good to fair. The patients are received/transferred/admitted from the emergency department, ICU, step-down, home, and doctors' offices.

Education & Experience:
- RN License in Delaware or Compact State
- BSN preferred or committed to acquiring BSN within 3 years of the hire date.
- At least one year of med/surg experience as an RN is required.
- BLS required.
