Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Special Procedures Radiology Technologist to support the Cardiac Cath Lab. - Full-time/ Day Shift - 4/10hr shifts per week, Monday through Friday - Night and weekend call required - Must live within 30-minutes of MH Southeast Hospital in order to accommodate call - American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Silver Receiving Plus - - Quality Achievement Award - Chest Pain Joint Commission Certified - Designated as a Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) hospital - At 90 minutes or less, the STEMI team's fast times to PCI meet the "Gold" standard for door-to-balloon times (on track for Platinum standard, 2024) - Cohesive, collaborative Team - Home away from home - Growth and promotion

Takes radiologic films of the body requiring specialized or complicated procedures to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Acts as an assistant to the physician during invasive radiological procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions.

Principal Accountabilities Performs special/invasive radiology procedures on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures: Prepares patients for exam, explains procedure, administers contrast when necessary, positions patients for the exam, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the images. Enters and monitors patient data. Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation. Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management. Takes emergency call within the department. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff. Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
