Job Details Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis. Establishing nursing care objectives. Defining nursing interventions. Providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families/support person to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Noting changing conditions and needs along with re-evaluating care objectives. The RN in Digestive Health is specially trained to assist with endoscopy procedures involving the gastrointestinal and respiratory system. This position requires knowledge and skill of nursing theory and practice to provide optimal patient care in a cost-effective manner. The RN will provide leadership in the department by functioning in a charge capacity and assuming the responsibilities of such. Job Requirements Role: RN Specialty: GI Number of Openings: 1 Years of Experience: 1+ Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must Have Skills/Experience: Assisting Gastroenterologist during procedures such as: Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, EGD, ERCP, 48 Hour Bravo Esophageal pH Test, Variceal band ligation, and assist with PEG tube placement as needed. Preferred Skillset/Experience: Same as above Type of Patients on Unit: pre/intra/post in the lab/inpatient Schedule Information Shift: Day – 5x8, Monday-Friday / Days - 8hr Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekend Hours: Only required if it’s your weekend to be on call.
