Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Director of Hospice and Palliative Care to oversee our programs and ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered services. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of palliative care principles, strong managerial capabilities, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee hospice and palliative care programs in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers, to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients and families.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards, while continuously improving quality of care.
Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation to optimize service delivery and ensure sustainability.
Foster collaboration among healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance service reach and patient support.
Provide education and training for staff on hospice and palliative care best practices, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities.
Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring their voices are heard in care planning and decision-making.
Stay current with industry trends, research, and advancements in hospice and palliative care to inform program development.
Qualifications:
Current license in relevant field (e.g., RN, LCSW).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospice or palliative care, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of pain management, symptom control, and end-of-life care principles.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a dynamic environment.
