Self Storage Manager Job Description
Stor All Self Storage is seeking a Store Manager for our location in Columbus (43229). The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service by helping customers understand their needs, recommend storage solutions, and help them acquire the needed product solutions. The Manager will assist reservation and walk-in customers (both in person and on the phone) in renting storage units, understanding the lease terms, fees, and insurance, and completing lease agreements. The Manager will build relationships with local businesses and organizations to increase visibility and drive rentals. The Manager will sell and manage merchandise inventory that includes industry essential items such as boxes, tape, and other appropriate products that meet customer needs. The Manager will ensure customer accounts are current and perform collections responsibilities as necessary. The Manager will ensure the appearance of the property is customer-ready by cleaning units, sweeping, mopping, removing debris, wiping windows, etc. Ultimately, the Manager will ensure property appearance is safe and welcoming. The Manager will work in one or more locations, independently or with another manager. The Manager will manage, verify, balance cash drawer, prepare and make daily deposits. The Manager will conduct a daily physical storage unit inspection confirming inventory availability and ensuring each unit is secure, occupied, or ready to rent. The Manager will work closely with the Sr Area Manager, Training Manager, and Auditing Manager to receive training and coaching when needed, striving to exceed all company expectations. The Manager may be asked to work at multiple locations in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Requirements:
Minimum one year of Customer Service and/or Sales experience
Energetic, outgoing, customer oriented personality
Professional in attitude and appearance
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-resolution skills
Enjoys and easily operates independently or as part of a small team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Some knowledge of computers in a Windows environment
Willingness to work independently while complying with company policies and procedures
Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation used during the workday
Willingness to work in multiple locations
Can work from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm any day of the week, including weekends and some holidays
40-Hour, 5-day workweek unless overtime is needed
Ability and willingness to perform light cleaning and maintenance such as sweeping, mopping, wiping windows, etc.
Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check
