Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Pipe Foreman to oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical piping systems on heavy civil highway and mining projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, HDPE pipe knowledge, excellent leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical pipe fitters, pipe layers, and related personnel.
  • Oversee the installation, inspection, and repair of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine piping system requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure that work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve any issues that arise during the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any deviations from the plan.

Qualifications:

  • Pipe welding and fusing experience is a must
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Pipe Foreman or similar role in heavy civil highway or mining projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical piping systems, installation techniques, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., welding, safety, etc.) are a plus.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical piping systems, with a focus on heavy civil or mining projects.
