Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Director of FIRM, the Coordinator, Space Management is responsible to develop and maintain an up-to-date space inventory, including development and maintenance of base floor plans for all University Space necessary for proper decision making and evaluation. Reviews, evaluates and documents “space” and “space utilization” related requests associated with how much and what type of space University units and centers will occupy.

The incumbent utilizes series of parameters, specifications and historical reference factors, etc. to effectively analyze and complete “space” reviews in a timely manner. Facilitates and independently conduct on-site inspections, as necessary to collect and maintain accurate property data, space files and floor plans. Presents documented conclusions, recommendations and proposed action plans to department management for disposition. Collaborates with the Senior Director and Department staff to design and develop effective data collection and retention processes, mechanisms and systems.

Performs other work related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience: * Bachelors degree * At least 3 years of directly related experience in Facilities Management techniques and CAFM/BIM applications. * Experience with Revit, AutoCad, Excel. * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience: * Experience with Archibus 25.2 or later, ArcGIS and GIS applications, 3D design, ability to develop script in Auto LISP, Python, Java, SQL

Required Skills and Abilities: * Assisting in updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting CAFM/BIM systems. * Demonstrated design abilities sufficient to review and update floor plans/drawings. * Ability to use databases including the ability to utilize and interrogate databases. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must be highly task, detail, and objective oriented. * Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required. * Demonstrated computer competency and skills. * Must possess strong project management and team leadership skills
