Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION:
AFMC's Member Services encompasses a large contact center and numerous other member-facing programs. As a member of AFMC's Executive Team, the individual in this position is responsible for the development and management of AFMC's Member Services and other programs that promote and support improved health outcomes across multiple populations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Serve as an integral member of the company's leadership team, providing vision and tactical input on AFMC's strategic pillars, priorities, operations. stakeholder relationships, and community involvement.
  2. Work with internal and external customers to develop, implement, and manage all aspects of AFMC's Member Services and other programs that promote and support improved health outcomes in various populations.
  3. Develop relationships and promote mutually beneficial partnerships with clients, key stakeholders, constituents, other healthcare organizations and the community at large.
  4. Track, evaluate and report on progress with member-facing programs.
  5. Ensure the quality and accuracy of employees' work product and that staff meet performance goals within designated time frames.
  6. Ensure compliance with AFMC policy, contractual obligations, state and federal laws and regulations.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of all AFMC programs, with emphasis on client-facing relations and communications.
  8. Track and analyze departmental performance against stated objectives and goals. Take corrective action to guarantee the achievement of objectives within timelines and approved budgets.
  9. Attend Board Meetings.
  10. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to COO and CEO.
  11. Prepare annual departmental budget. Analyze and control expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
  12. Follow AFMC, state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.
  13. Train assigned staff on job specific regulations and contract requirements.
  14. Meet regularly with assigned staff to communicate pertinent information, needs and requests to other team members as appropriate.
  15. Participates in departmental meetings, projects, and deliverables for ensuring consistency of messaging, compliance with strategic focus and coordination of enterprise-wide projects.
  16. Additional duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional skills in business English and spelling are required. Good command of the English language and knowledge of punctuation, grammar, and spelling are required.
  • Working knowledge of statistical and quality improvement processes with ability to evaluate and analyze operational data for project application.

Job Requirements

Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices):
Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, ability to read and write, ability to communicate with personnel, ability to remain calm under stress. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in health sciences, communications, business or related field.
Desirable: Master's degree in health sciences, business administration, communications, public health, health services administration, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Seven (7) years' professional experience in program administration. Five (5) years' leadership experience.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Arkansas' health and human services needs and available resources
- In-depth knowledge of State of Arkansas health and human services operations and programs
- Experience overseeing and supporting community-based health and social programs
- Experience building cross-agency collaboratives
- Advocacy and public relations experience
- Experience with policy and program design
- Experience in federal and state contracting.
- Experience with client outreach and engagement
