An energy and utilities client is looking for a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for developing, guiding, and supporting the financial analysis requirements of operational management.

Location: Rosemead, CA 91770
Position: Financial Analyst
Pay: $37/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm
Hybrid position in the office 2 days a week (Tue, Wed), option to work remote the other 3 days of the week

Responsibilities:
Managing a lot of different collateral - cash, credits, escrow etc. - $2-3B worth of financials processing Working and supporting internal Operations units Administrative requests & administrative edits, amendments, processing Usages of CRA - credit risk system Processing financial mail , scanning, filing documenting.
Reviewing the language and financials via mail bumping up against internal systems Risk operations - providing operations support In support of market calculations reconciling Processing Clearing house statements Special projects and assignments as needed
Run daily margin reconciliation with clearing statement
Process credit exposure calculations and send out margin call notices as appropriate
Upload daily and monthly spot prices into system of record
Process, administer, and manage all collateral instruments to support procurement activities across Energy Procurement & Management, Transmission & Distribution, Operational Services, and Customer Services operating units
Run daily trade confirmations process
Required Skills/Attributes:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent studies or equivalent experience in the finance/accounting field
3-5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis required.
Experience with SAP
Proficient within Excel, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs Importing data Data management , internal and external data Running reports Exp with query's
Working knowledge of financial procedures, techniques and demonstrated analytic capability knowledge of budgeting, cost rates establishment, business case development and variance analysis.
Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet modeling required.
Candidate must demonstrate an ability to analyze, explain and draw logical conclusions from data.
Good written and verbal communications are required.

Desired skills:
Experience with energy contracts, risk management related to energy procurement, or the CAISO market
Experience with macros and database queries
Experience with SAP
Knowledge of accounting processes and procedures
Knowledge of Endur or other commodity trading systems
