Prokatchers is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Newnan, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Salary: $2,400.52/week Medical specialty: Intensive Care Unit Standard Shift: Nights Weekly Schedule: 3x12 Shift Timings: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM [weekends as-needed - Manager sets schedule. ] Patient Ratio: 1:2 Float Requirements: Yes - Float within areas of competency possible (MICU, ratio of 1:4). Avg. Daily Census: 12 - 21 rooms, 25 beds. Scrubs: Black scrubs - not provided. EMR: Pyxis medication system, EPIC documentation, and SBAR communication utilized. Orientation: 12 hours orientation on floor. Description: 1st time traveler OK. ICU RN for oncology ICU floor that also houses MICU. This is a surgical unit focused on thoracic surgeries, skin flaps, chest tube management, and esophagectomies. Use of Tablo for dialysis patients. Provider support includes pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary. Provider coverage includes Intensivist, NP, CRNA, Anesthesiologist and Hospitalist. Experience Required: 1 year ICU experience Required: Trauma Level II facility experience REQUIRED. Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and/or Trauma Level I facility a plus. Licenses and Certifications Required: Current Georgia nursing license BLS, ACLS (AHA only, no HeartCode) CHEMO Cert Certifications Preferred: NIH, OCN, TNCC Skills/Experience Required: Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias Multi-system Organ Failure Chronic/Acute Renal Failure CVVHD/CRRT Accessing Ports Blood Product Administration Central Line Care/Management PICC Line Management Starting IVs Continuous IV Sedation Emergency Medications Titrate Cardiac Drips Titrate Vasoactive Drips Chemotherapy Administration Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal Care of Ventilated Patient HFNC Interpretation of ABGs Suctioning (ETT, NT) Ventilator Management Infection Prevention Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE Phlebotomy Surgical Wounds with Drains/Wound Vac Skills/Experience Preferred: Neuro Intensive Care Unit Surgical Intensive Care Unit Flo Trac/Vigileo Monitoring Obtain 12 lead EK CABG ECMO Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Impella Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz Monitoring Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD) IV Insulin Protocols Arterial Line Management Continuous IV Paralytics/Neuromuscular Blockage Procedural Sedation Administration CVA/Acute Stroke management External Ventricular Drains (EVD) Hypothermia Protocol/Arctic Sun ICP Monitoring Lumbar Drains Assist with Management of BiPAP and CPAP.
