Description:
A facility in Glens Falls, NY is looking for an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN). Minimum 2 years experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Travel experience preferred. Must be willing to float to MS/Tele if needed with a max of 4 patients. Every other weekend and every other holiday. 36 hours but 24 hours guaranteed. GFH requires de-escalation training for this unit (Welle, CPI or PMCS) prior to start. THIS FACILITY WILL CONSIDER LOCAL CAREGIVERS (50 MILES OR LESS) AT A DISCOUNTED RATE OF $10 OFF CURRENT BILL RATE. YOU MUST CLEARLY DOCUMENT CARGEIVER IS LOCAL DURING SUBMISSION. THE FACILITY CAN CANCEL UP TO 5 SHIFTS PER CONTRACT.
Requirements:
At least two years recent experience in field, current BLS certification, and a current nursing license per the state of assignment. For additional and specialty-specific requirement, please contact us
Comments:
Float to MS if needed 4 pt max. Every other weekend/holiday.
Bill-rate-note:Local Travelers will be considered at a $10 reduced rate.
Notable-requirements:Caregivers 50 miles or less can be considered at $10 below bill rate. Call off Policy: Up to 5 shifts/contract.COVID POLICY-Check with Credentialing.
Unit details:
16 bed ICU. Charting: Cerner - Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).The Unit is comprised of 16 critical care beds, with the availability to overflow into an adjacent 6 bed area to accommodate increases in census. This area is staffed and equipped to provide highly skilled interdisciplinary services to patients requiring complex and intensive nursing care interventions for life-threatening conditions. Each room is private. All critical care beds accommodate invasive pressure monitoring, continuous cardiac & oximetry monitoring and additional monitoring equipment, as required for specific patient needs.Population served includes patients > 18 yrs. of age through geriatric years. There is a conference room that provides privacy for family meetings as needed. There is a covering case manager available seven days per week to assist patients and families in the Critical Care Unit. The unit is operational 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
