Subject to change based on business necessity.INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS:Supervision Received: Clinic Charge NurseSupervision Exercised: NoneOther: Patients, families, visitors, other hospital personnel, medical staff, other medical facility personnel, community program personnel, EMS personnel, members of the general publicEXPOSURE TO HAZARDS: This position is classified by OSHA as a Class I position and is exposed to odors, infections and body fluids. To reduce job hazards, this position is responsible for wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) during job functions. PPE can include: gloves, gown/coat, shoe covers, head/face, and eye and ear protection. Each job function requires a different level of PPE. Individuals receive initial and annual training to identify the appropriate level of PPE required.EQUIPMENT USED: Blood pressure cuff, thermometer, stethoscope, computer, scales, phone, and fax machine. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Sets up and clean up rooms between appointmentsRooms patients and gathers and records necessary vital signsProperly enters patient information in Athena. Keeps clinic stocked with all supplies (lab, medical, pharmacy, laundry). Files progress notes, lab results and any correspondence, etc. in-patient charts electronically via AthenaContinual surveillance of proactive participation in ongoing Infection Prevention and Control measures in accordance with policies located in the Infection Control Manual on MCN. Other duties as assigned. #HIALPQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Education: High school diploma or GED required.Experience: Previous medical experience preferred. Must be able to accurately take patient vital signsCertificates, License, Registrations: None required but CNA preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with all staff and patients in a courteous manner. Promptness and accuracy is important. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality. Must possess the ability and desire to expand knowledge base and receive on the job training in basic nursing skills or competencies. Physical: Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently, or negligible constantly. Walking or standing to a significant degree or sitting constantly and pushing/pulling controls.
